Caps vs Senators

The Capitals had a Columbus Day battle against the Ottawa Senators. They were able to pull out a 3-2 OT victory. The game was at Verizon Center in Washington DC. The Caps have arguable the best fans in the NHL and if you have ever been to a game, you will agree.

The Caps produce a lot of media attention due to Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin produced the game winning goal with only thirty seconds left on the clock. He made his way down the right side of the ice and the shot beat Ottawa Senators goalie Pascal Leclaire far side.

The Caps struggled through the game with penalties, including Ovi's three penalties. One of the penalties was enforced because the Caps had to many players on the ice. The Senators kept the pace up with shots on Michal Neuvirth, who stopped an incredible 29 shots.

Eric Fehr had a goal and an assist.
Semin also scored in tonights victory.

The Caps come off a 7-2 win over the New Jersey Devils. There next game in October 13th against the New York Islanders.
